Immigration Detention and Vulnerable Migrants in Hong Kong Research Team / Partnership

“Immigration Detention and Vulnerable Migrants in Hong Kong: Evaluating the System, Facilitating Reform” is a 3-year academic research project at the Faculty of Law of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The project involves conducting the first detailed study of immigration detention in Hong Kong and aims to evaluate the immigration detention system in Hong Kong in relation to vulnerable migrants and develop actionable, evidence-based proposals for improving the system. The project is funded by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council and will run from June 2020 to June 2023.
